There's a thought. Microsoft could say, "From now on all 360 games will no longer be printed on DVD's but on USB Key Drives"..........LOL.
Heavenly Sword sold 1.4 million copies with a $500-$600 PS3. How much did you expect it to sell? If they would ever give it a Greatest Hits label and cut the the price to $30 (The game is 2 years old) it would sell more than that.
They've been trying to get away from Halo for a couple of years now. Microsoft keeps pulling them back in because the Xbox can't live without Halo.
I've been saying for years..... Halo IS the Xbox, the Xbox is NOT Halo.
I don't have this game and I may not ever get it. But I am going to download the maps when they are free because I have plenty of hard-drive space. I can always delete them later.
STANDARD HARD DRIVE FOR THE FTW!!!!
You are describing investment that you have already made into Xbox live. Games that you have already bought and friends that you have already made can be a compelling reason to stay where you are. However, Microsoft must be careful not to abuse that or else people will leave slowly but surely.
Those are the same reasons that people always give for buying their 4th and 5th Xbox 360 when all the previous ones have broken. The have bought 40 Xbox 360 games, and have 50 friends an...
He is almost never right. In fact, he is so consistently wrong that he is a good indicator of the future.
XBLive won't cost $100 until the it normal uptick of inflation takes it there, not because Microsoft want to increase their profit from XB Live.
The market-perceived price of an Xbox 360 is already $299, the same as a PS3. When you add in the cost of other essential features, like batteries, the 360 actually costs more than a PS3 costs today (10/26/09). If ...
Since no one else has noticed this I will mention it.
The most important thing in this article is that the game was designed with the Xbox 360 in mind. Notice I said "DESIGNED", as opposed to "CODED". The sub-HD resolutions, the amount of enemies on screens, the dismemberments (and thus the obliterations), the lay-out of the cut-scenes, and the levels were all designed with the 360 in mind.
The artistic components of the game were designed ...
I can't buy any more games.
In the past 3 weeks I bought, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Demon's Souls, and Uncharted 2. That is almost $200 on games. I've got Tekken 6 (with Fight Stick) on reserve, but I'll probably let it go back. I just can't afford to spend any more money on video games.
Sony's game-making machine is GOD-STOMPING right now. Of the 3 games that I just bought the lowest rated is NGS2 and its an 8.5. Now Ratchet & Clank has got two 9.0 reviews r...
God of War III may be able to get close to Uncharted 2's graphics. From what I've seen, Heavy Rain probably will not look as good as Uncharted 2.
The rest of those games don't have a chance in hell of getting REMOTELY CLOSE to to the graphical prowess of Uncharted 2. In fact, it is dishonest to suggest that they might.
If this guy thinks Uncharted 2 has control issues he sucks at gsming and is crazy, or at least he is fudging the facts to generate hits for his site.
Isn't Mass Effect 2 releasing the same month as Final Fantasy XIII? I've seen rumors that they are both releasing in Feb. 2010.
If they are releasing in the same month then, it doesn't matter whether ME2 comes to PS3 or not. On PS3 its sales would get raped by FFXIII, the same way that FFXIII's Xbox 360 sales are going to get raped by Mass Effect 2.
Even if EA wants to bring ME2 to PS3 they should push it back (or bring it forward) to get out of the way of FFXIII...
You should say what game you are spoiling before you actually write the spoiler.
Chubear, most people don't know that. Compared to us the average consumer is video game illiterate. Expect Microsoft to market this game as though it is one of their exclusives. They have don't this before and are currently doing it with Modern Warfare 2.
I still expect MGR to sell more on the PS3 simply because it already has a following on the PS3. Moreover, Metal Gear games are more compatible with the PS3 audience than with the 360 auidence.
Fringe is not new. It is basically the X-files retold with very slight changes. BTW, Fringe is not as good as the X-files, at least not yet. But, Fringe is still young; it may get there.
Now, "Kings", on the other hand brought something new.
Beating Ninja Gaiden Sigma on Master Ninja Level. Is my greatest achievement to date as a gamer.
Working on beating Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 at the hardest difficult now.
Nothing is difficult about it, but it is just so satisfying anyway.
I didn't need any research to tell me that.
Your woman doesn't want you to have any fun that doesn't include her.
In order for Microsoft to maintain its lead it would have to dominate Sony in terms of first party games. That is going to be a problem for Microsoft over the next 5 years because Sony has a bigger first-party game making machine, and Microsoft is working with much weaker hardware.
If Microsoft's Xbox 360 is to maintain its lead over Sony's PS3, IT MUST BE CHEAPER <PERIOD>
#1. A permanent power source for the controller, whether that be a cord, rechargeable battery + charger etc.
I don't think that Microsoft is going to get out of the hardware business anytime in the near future, but can you imagine the Xbox fans' reaction if the did. People still haven't gotten over the Dreamcast dying, and know you are talking about 360 dying.....They would be putting bombs is Sony's mailbox if that happened.
Still, I don't think Microsoft is getting out anytime soon. Their pockets are deep enough for them to go one more generation even if they end up losing money o...
